ABOUT TRANSPLANT CENTRAL

Transplant Central was established in 2001 after one of the original founders of LATV received a transplant.

Our website is designed so that organ transplant patients, spouses, families, and medical professionals can help each other by sharing their experiences with others who have “Been there. Done that”. For example, in our Transplant Interviews section you can read transcripts of interviews with transplant patients, spouses, caregivers, and medical professionals. In the Stories and Journals area you can read articles, stories, and journals written by people who have been through the experience. In the Products section you can find products that others have found useful while waiting for a transplant or after surgery.

In all of these sections you are welcome to add your own story, journal, product, or request to be interviewed – all in the spirit of sharing your experiences with others who could benefit by hearing them.

How You Can Help

We encourage you to volunteer your artistic and organizational skills to make this site your own, to help coordinate events when go on Tour and visit your community, and to participate in the Forums. Please Contact Us with your ideas about the ways you can use your talents to help other transplant patients, spouses, or medical professionals.

Transplant Central is a grassroots project and relies greatly on your tax-deductible charitable contributions to LATV.
